Dies 57 Brompton Road, Landport 4th June 1887. Died aged 74 of Epithelioma of the tongue (cancer of the enlarged tongue) There is an obituary in the Hampshire County Times for 8 June 1887 and another in the Portsmouth Times, 11 June 1887
